Para obtener el visa O-1, el solicitante debe tener un patrocinador que le proporcione empleo en un puesto espec\u00edfico. Por ejemplo, un jugador profesional de b\u00e9isbol necesitar\u00eda que un equipo de b\u00e9isbol le ofreciera un puesto o que un agente le sirviera de patrocinador. Si el solicitante es un m\u00fasico, un grupo musical u orquesta le puede patrocinar el visa. Un actor necesitar\u00eda que un estudio le patrocinara el visa.<\/p>\n

El patrocinador, o peticionario, deber\u00e1 presentar el formulario I-129 ante el Servicio de Inmigraci\u00f3n de Estados Unidos (USCIS). Esta petici\u00f3n s\u00f3lo puede presentarse durante el per\u00edodo de un a\u00f1o contado a partir de la fecha en que los servicios de la persona se requieran por primera vez. Para asegurar que la solicitud sea tramitada a tiempo, se debe presentar lo antes posible pero no m\u00e1s de 6 meses antes de la fecha de empleo.<\/p>\n

Junto con el formulario I-129, el peticionario deber\u00e1 presentar varios tipos de documentos de prueba, entre ellas:<\/strong><\/p>\n
